Well, wouldn't you know it?

Black Helicopter Lifecycle. From a wonderful piece of elaborated snark at zapatopi.net.
Mr. Zerohedge, who blogs the imminent collapse of the US economy amid the black helicopters (just as soon as the Messiah gets here, I guess, or maybe he's just trying to become the leader of a short-selling religious cult) under the nym "Tyler Durden" and tweeting with a somewhat startling gravatar (what exactly are you trying to tell us, Mr. Zero?), got unbearably excited by the story of the Las Vegas cop-killing—at last, he thought, mad gunmen who aren't from the right!
Although come to think of it, not all self-denominated "revolutionaries" are Communists, you know. Like some of them are Senator Cruz:

Alas, the first rule of Spite Club is that you should wait a few hours, because when you're expecting leftist terrorists those suckers just never show up. Sure enough, the shooters turned out to be the usual freedom fighters for freedom for ME though not maybe for a couple of cops trying to enjoy a slice of pizza:
Residents at an apartment complex where it appeared the two lived together said they had a reputation for spouting racist, anti-government views, bragging about their gun collection and boasting that they’d spent time at Cliven Bundy’s ranch during a recent standoff there between armed militia members and federal government agents. (Las Vegas Sun)
(Thanks, Wonkette!)
officers Alyn Beck, 41, and Igor Soldo, 31, were shot while they ate lunch at CiCi’s Pizza, 309 N. Nellis Blvd., at about 11:20 a.m. Sunday. In a late afternoon news conference he said no motive for the attack has been determined.
“It’s a tragic day,” the sheriff said. “We have lost two officers with young families.”
Beck was a senior patrol officer who had taught Advanced Officer Skills Training and at the Metro academy. He was hired by Metro in 2001 and had a wife and three children.
Soldo has been a Metro officer since 2006 and had a wife and baby. Both were uniform patrol officers assigned to the Northeast Area Command....
The shooters... stripped the officers of their weapons and ammunition and badges, according to a law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation. They then covered the officers with something that featured the Gadsden flag, a yellow banner with a coiled snake above the words, “Don’t tread on Me.” (Las Vegas Review-Journal)
(Thanks, Monsieur Bouffant!)

Tyler kind of appreciated Bundy himself, posting a little note at his place from Senator Paul:
A government that continually violates our rights of property and contract can fairly be descried as authoritarian. Of course, the politicians and bureaucrats take offense at this term, but how else do you describe a government that forbids Americans from grazing cattle on land they have used for over a century, from buying health insurance that does not met Obamacare’s standards, from trading with Cuba, or even from drinking raw milk!
Hahaha, Senator Paul! "Can fairly be descried" off to the left on the horizon ("Thar she sucks, mateys!")? "Forbids Americans from grazing cattle" unless they pay the fees everybody else pays on land that has been federal property for over a century? Health insurance that "does not met" (maybe it yankees, or red socks)? I guess at least we know you didn't plagiarize this one!

Though of course Tyler opposes violence (or his surrogate Michael Krieger does):
Personally, I hope cooler heads prevail and there is no violence, because once you head down the road of violent confrontation between the people and the feds you are opening up a can of worms that will not easily be bottled up again. In such a situation, everybody loses. However, my long-term fear is that unless the government and its puppet masters on Wall Street and elsewhere in big business change course, social upheaval will prove inevitable, whether the Bundy Ranch sparks it, or some other incident down the road. These are troubled times and they are likely going to get worse before they get better.
And you'll just keep short-selling them in the meantime, huh?

Lots more from Steve.
