Anyway- if you want to catch up on the wedding, check out my new Our Wedding page. And I will finally try to finish with the wedding posts; which considering I only have maybe 2 to go shouldn't be too difficult.
One of our goals for the wedding was to have a huge party- where people were able to eat as much as they wanted, drink as much as they wanted, and dance the night away. And that's exactly what we got. We had a live band (friends of mine from high school- some even from elementary school) and a DJ (a wedding gift from a childhood friend who now works for a sound/lighting company).
The band plays a lot of classic rock, country and early 90s- a pretty solid combination in my mind. During their breaks, the DJ cranked up more of the classic rock (obviously our go-to) plus a little more of the current top 40s kind of music. It ended up being a wonderful combination and the floor was packed all night.
I loved standing in the middle of the dance floor and looking around at all of my family and friends, and just feeling so loved. I don't think there is a better feeling in the world. It didn't hurt that everyone was smiling and having a blast.
So. Much. Fun.
Oh and this happened. Ice Ice Baby performed by our friends Dustin and Rob...which I of course had to participate in.
