I know, I know, I used to wonder why they wanted to be allowed to be generals and archbishops. It's really all about the drag, I suppose. Nothing whatever to do with human dignity or asserting an actual social existence as opposed to just being part of the Brooksian decor, or any of that Jacobin stuff.
