Just A Little Bragging

One of the main reasons I was so excited about coming to the company where I now work was that when I interviewed (with like 6 or 7 different people), they all separately told me that our boss (the chief development officer) strongly believes in internal promotion. If an opening comes up, he will look at the staff he has and see if anyone is a good fit for the role. If he sees talent in you, he will do whatever he can to keep you on the team and to build you up, creating a strong team.

I've now been here for two months. I've loved every minute of it. And not to toot my own horn or anything?? But apparently I'm one of those talented ones who they want to keep around...because I just got a promotion. And a raise. After two months.

I know I'm bragging. But if I can't  brag here...than I can't brag anywhere. Plus you all have been SO insanely supportive during the whole transition.  You helped alleviate my fears when I was starting and completely terrified that I would be horrible at my job; you offered words of encouragement and motivation all along.

I am beyond excited about my future here. And damnit, I'm really proud of myself too.
