Ready for Not Winter

I'm ready for summer. I don't think that's any big surprise around here considering I have been complaining about the snow since October. And it's not April...and we had a huge snow storm a few days ago. 5 inches of snow at the end of March. Go home Mother Nature, you're drunk.

But today? Today is supposed to be 65 and sunny. And I am ready to put on my bathing suit and get my tan on because that's how damn warm 65 is going to feel. It's not just the sunshine though that has be so insanely excited. There are other things that come with warm weather that have me literally jumping for joy.

1. I made a goal a few weeks ago to drink a lot of rum this summer. When we were in Toronto last year, I was drinking basil lemonade with rum. After about 3 of these, I kept telling Doug that I really liked rum and needed to drink more of it. What better time than summer!! Thinking Dark and Stormys are going to have a common place in my summer. Moscow Mules too for that matter. Just keep the ginger beer and limes coming!

2. Being able to walk out of the house without a jacket. And FLIP FLOPS. That is all.

3. We have this awesome back porch. And so far, it's been covered with snow every single time we've been at the house. I'm ready to sit on my pack porch in the sunshine and drink a damn margarita. Because that's the best. Pretty sure I have invited pretty much everyone and their mother over to come drink margaritas with me (and all of you- take this as an open invite if you ever find yourself in Cleveland)!

4.  Grilling. EVERYTHING. Seriously. this is the first time we have owned our own grill. And we may or may not have splurged a bit on a Weber grill (which is a lot more expensive...but also a lot more awesome). So we plan to get our money's worth outta that puppy. Last night, we took full advantage of that- burgers, sweet potato wedges and asparagus (all on the grill).

5. It's TRIBE TIME!! For you non-Clevelanders, that means it's baseball season. And I love baseball season. It means summer and patio drinking and warm weather and hot dogs and getting rowdy downtown and ALL THINGS AWESOME. I'm pumped.
----------------------------------------------------------

You guys. I'm super pumped to introduce you to the ever hilarious Kathy from Vodka and Soda. Not that she really needs ANY introduction, but really. If you don't read her blog, than you are seriously missing out. I mean really? Who else can use words like boner or wangface in a blog title?? No one...or at least no one can get away with it like her.

Girl is damn funny.

She's Asian (though she'll be the first to tell you she isn't very good at being Chinese). She also embraces all the stereotypes about being Asian. Though girl- it was NOT just Asian parents who spank their children/think allowances are stupid. It was also mine. But my personal favorite of the Asian stereotypes she insists are true? The size of a certain body part on men...because this story is epic.

In addition to being funny- she really tells it like it is. One of my favorites is how blogging is like high school (narrate in all Mean Girls gifs...obviously). And let's be honest- we ALL wish could leave these comments

And as if all of this isn't awesome enough? Kathy hosts the best linkup of the week- Humpday Confessions. Which is basically co-hosted by Ryan Gosling. So obviously you know you all want to check it out.

Don't just take my word for it. Go check her out...but not in a creepy way. I promise you WILL laugh out loud.
