When I left off last, we had put in an offer on a house and we waited. But thankfully we didn't have to wait too long. Our offer went in on a Tuesday morning. By Wednesday morning, we had received a counter offer. To remind you, we made a pretty low offer. The counter came back closer to the asking price- but we decided to counter again, meeting right in the middle. And they accepted it!!
I did post this little sneak peak the other day...
But obviously we went with the house down the street from my brother! It's an adorable three bedroom, 1.5 bath, has a huge dining room (now with gorgeous remodeled hardwood floors) and the selling point? The amazing back porch...which I'm so excited to enjoy once the weather finally shapes up.
Here is a sneak peak of some of our remodeling. I was SO happy to say goodbye to the ugly green in the living room. And the floors...Oh the floors. I'm in love. The top right photo is the floor sanded, the bottom right is when we started to stain.
In all honesty, we had an amazingly easy experience. We had a great realtor who narrowed in on the things we really wanted and helped us find the perfect house for us. We only looked at 4 houses and were under contract on a house less than a month after we started the process. I feel a little guilty when I have talked to so many of you who have looked at hundreds of houses and had offers denied on multiple homes. But I am so thankful that we lucked out with such an awesome experience.
