Mzgraciev: Shit Men Say: Nickname version

When Amanda and Danae announced the Shit Men Say linkup, I was pumped. Obviously. And then my husband decided to be totally normal for the last few weeks leaving me with no material. Lame.

However, I will share with you the list of absolutely ridiculous nicknames he has called me in the span of our 7 year relationship. Where he got most of these, I don't know if I will ever know.

If you made it through that list, you're probably shaking your head and thinking "What the fuck?" Exactly my thoughts on a daily basis when he comes up with another ridiculous one.

I first "met" Lexe from Lexe in the City during the inaugural Happy Hour Hangout (woo woo! Huge shout out to the original crew). I only managed to be on the call for 30 minutes due to my ability to never charge my phone and she was pretty quiet, as a relatively new blogger. But I did start following her blog after that. Followed by social media. And it soon became apparent that we were blogging soul mates. Especially after we bonded over incredibly inappropriate jokes and exchanged phone numbers because Twitter couldn't handle us.

What is also incredibly awesome are her posts about staying true to herself. She wrote a public love letter to herself and this post about the 10 things she loves about herself (that have nothing to do with how she looks) is beautiful. It's not easy to put yourself out there in blog-world, yet Lexe does it so effortlessly and beautifully that I can't help but love her even more!

And if you do nothing else. Watch her vlogs. Part of what I love about vlogs are you can get a real feel for the person based on how they talk and "interact" with readers (though yes, I know, they are really just talking to a blank screen). Lexe's vlogs are a gold mine of pure hilariousness. Though if we really want to talk funny, check out why she is SO happy she doesn't have to date anymore (and it's not just because she is married to her bearded hunk of a man) or her Random Rant Wednesdays- love it.

I'm really hoping I can make it to Denver to visit her before she moves back to Cali, but I guess a trip to Southern California wouldn't be a bad thing either!
