There are any number of answers to this question. If I have expressed nothing else on this blog in the last few weeks, it's that I fricken love Christmas. And I'm truly attached to traditions.
So here are a few things it is not Christmas without...
Seafood on Christmas Eve. I wouldn't be a good Italian girl if I didn't do the Feast of Seven fishes. Mind you, we don't do a full meal or even seven different fishes, but we always have at least some seafood on Christmas Eve.
Dough cakes. I don't really know if this is Italian or what. But basically for breakfast on Christmas morning, we have dough cakes for breakfast. Which is basically like a funnel cake- sweet fried dough, covered with butter and sugar. Along with Italian sausage and a few mimosas? Perfect way to start Christmas.
White Christmas and Muppet Christmas Carol. I have to watch both of these at least 12 times. And I'm totally ok with that. Doug thinks I'm crazy. I just love them.
These are just a few of my favorite things about Christmas; things that I can't miss!
And since I missed posting on Friday about Christmas Treasures...here are two of the biggest treasures in my life- my fricken adorable nieces:
