I know, I know. Everyone and their mother are doing these posts. But it's the end of the year. And it was a pretty awesome year. So deal with it.
January: We rang in the new year with friends drinking and eating too much and playing games. I was out of work for a few days when my niece tried to poke my eye out while building a tent.
February: I made the best of my hatred of snow and took my niece sled riding for the first time, and also celebrated her 2nd birthday.
March: I had major cabin fever and spent most of the month dreaming about going on vacation. Thankfully I had a friends bachelorette party to help with a little bit of the winter blues!
April: We went to opening day for the Indians and I celebrated that spring/summer were a little closer. We attended two weddings- one of my co-workers and an OU couple (oh how I love a Bobcat wedding).
May: My birthday weekend in Chicago was a serious highlight of my year- a full girls weekend that was absolutely amazing! We attended our third wedding of the year- more Bobcats!
June: We headed back to Chicago; this time for a bridal shower celebrating two of our best friends! Niece #2, adorable little Nora Catherine was born on June 9th. We said goodbye to two more of our best friends who left us for new jobs in Columbus.
July: We finally bought memberships to our city pool- making it the best decision of the summer! I took the plunge and finally joined the gym, and even stuck it out after a poor experience with an asshole personal trainer. I finally headed back to Athens for my best friends bachelorette party- and I loved every minute back in my old stomping grounds.
August: Yet another bachelorette party , a huge event for work, another bachelorette party (this really was the year of weddings), and a weekend trip to Toronto, August was definitely a packed month.
September: But then September came...the month of not 1, not 2, but 4 weddings! And of course celebrating our one year anniversary!
October: The first Happy Hour Hangout...and who knew that that group of ladies would become so much part of my life! We finally made it to Columbus to visit our friends who moved back in June. I created my first vlog. And we spent a family weekend in Geneva- and looking at these pictures amaze me how much my niece has grown!
November: I headed back to Chicago for the fourth time this year to visit with friends. And we hosted Thanksgiving for 9 people in our tiny apartment.
December: We decorated our house for Christmas, and I've been hibernating as much as possible because it has been damn cold and snowing ALL MONTH. And we're still so looking forward to Christmas with my family and New Years Eve with some friends!
