Happy Weekend

A few reasons to be excited about this weekend!

1. Weekend at home + Doug not being on call = date day tomorrow!! We have yet to really celebrate our anniversary because we've been so swamped, or Doug has been on call for work. He received some free passes for mini golf. We found a Groupon for a restaurant in Chagrin Falls, which is this adorable little town with restaurants and shops. So not only are we doing on a date, we're doing it on the cheap!

2. Last night, I got a text from a friend asking if Doug and I wanted to go to the Lake Erie Monsters game (minor league hockey team in Cleveland). I asked Doug, and even though both of us kind of wanted to say no, we figured why not! We rarely do things like this- and it's better than sitting on our butts at home. Oh hey, what's up #sayyesproject!

Plus last time I went to a hockey game, we made these signs and it was hilarious. 

"We've got 5 on 5 action"
"Meet me in the penalty box"

3. A weekend at HOME!! Seriously. This is the first completely free weekend we have had since June. Between weddings and wedding showers and bachelor/bachelorette parties and Doug's work schedule and my work schedule and trying to spend time with friends and family, we've been crazed. So even though we have plans- I'm just beyond happy that tonight, nothing. Tomorrow is a fun day. Sunday, nothing. 

4. Because we'll be home all weekend, this means I can meal plan for next week and actually go grocery shopping! And make the lamb and leek stew that I have been wanting to make for weeks but haven't had the time. 

And of course, I have to link up with Whitney- because I had no desire to listen to this CD- but her non stop talk about it pushed me to listen. Annnd I've listened to it at least 100 times this week. This is one of my faves. Though I will disagree with Whitney and say taht 4x4 is a close second!
