Event Day

As I have been talking about for the last week, I had a huge event yesterday. So most of the weekend revolved around that. Thankfully there was time for a little relaxation though too!

Friday, my parents got home from vacation and took me out to dinner at Washington Place Bistro. I didn't take any photos- but as always, the food was amazing. We all had a salad, split a cheese board and an order of the oxtail pierogies.  And a bottle of wine...plus two more glasses for my mom and I. We actually got my parents a gift card here as a thank you for all their help with the wedding. It is an inn- but instead of doing dinner and a night at the inn, they decided to spend it all on food. And I'm thankful for that!

I did end up spending the night with them at my brothers house (even though they are still on vacation) because I don't sleep well at home when the husband is out of town- which he was all weekend for a bachelor party.
I miss these little nuggets while they are on vacation. I need them back in my life right now.
Saturday was a busy day. Laundry, last minute errands for the event, cleaning the apartment, and then out to dinner with a few people who were in town for the event. I headed downtown and enjoyed a drink before dinner with someone from our national office who has helped keep me sane during this whole planning process- so it was definitely nice to relax with her after all the stress!

Sunday morning dawned bright and early, and we were off and running the instant I got downtown. It was an insane, long, busy day. But it went so well and it seemed like everyone had a wonderful time!

Oh you know, just hanging out in an NBA arena all day.
I love event days. I thrive on event days. It makes all the stress worth it, but I was so happy when it was over!

Which obviously resulted in a few beers when I got home...and I started watching the first season of Breaking Bad. And fell asleep by 9:30. Perfect end to a busy, crazy day.
