Friday night, we crossed the river and headed to the West Side to spend time with some friends. For you non-Clevelanders, our fair city is pretty divided east and west, separated by the Cuyahoga River. East siders rarely journey to the west, and vice versa. So when we head west, we tend to spend the night. It seriously takes 45 to an hour to get there, so after a few beers- it just makes sense.
We were visiting my friend Megan and her husband (they got married last December). They live only a few blocks from the lake, and have access to a private beach. So we headed down there for sunset- which was gorgeous! I never fully appreciate how pretty Lake Erie can be- so this was a nice reminder :)

Saturday- we headed back east, where I devoured McD's nuggets and a huge coke, as well as a bloody mary to fight off the hangover I felt creeping in. Thankfully, it stayed away as I headed back west (even farther this time) for a bridal shower for a close family friend. Our dad's went to high school together and have remained best friends, so I grew up with her.
Now, since we're on the topic of weddings- we received 4 wedding invitations in 2 days. ALL for September. Two are on the same day (thankfully both in Cle)- so we'll be doing one ceremony, one reception. Followed by Chicago and Holmes County.
Being the horrible blogger I am, I have no pictures of the shower...or of the rest of my night (though part of that was due to a dead phone). After the shower, we headed downtown with plans to go to the baseball game. Unfortunately, we were feeling a little too cheap to buy upper upper deck seats for $30 each (really Indians??). So we enjoyed a gorgeous evening downtown with beer, friends and we still got to see the fireworks from the baseball game.
