Throwback Thursday

Time for a little Throwback! In honor of the bride-to-be and our upcoming trip to Athens (I'm sorry- are you sick of me talking about this yet?), this post is for her!

I met Ashley on my very first day at Ohio University. All the girls on my floor were awkwardly sitting in our dorm lobby, getting to know each other. I instantly bonded with the two above, Ashley on the right, Krysten on the left. They were best friends from high school, but I never felt like I was the odd one out. The above photo is our first weekend in Athens drinking Natty like classy college girls at my brothers house. We thought we were awesome.

We lived across the hall from each other our freshman year of college, and early on decided to be roommates sophomore year. Sometimes you just can't live with people without them driving you crazy. But not Ashley and I. We ended up living together for the rest of college (junior and senior year with 3 more girls).

In the four years of college (and 4 more since then), this girl has been the greatest friend. Last year when she finally moved to Cleveland after 2 years in Chicago for grad school, it was a great day. Her and her fiance live less than a mile from us, and we see them weekly.

I had to include this as it's possibly the funniest picture of the two of us.

She stood by me on my wedding day. She helped me celebrate my birthday in Chicago. And now this weekend, we're definitely getting rowdy in Athens to celebrate her!!
