Summer Gratitude

Summer time makes me happy. Yes- working in the summer is a bit of a drag, but it is light longer, people are more active, you can drink outside, campfires, cornhole, pools, etc...

And I sometimes forget to be grateful for the summer things that I love so much- and that don't last nearly long enough in Cleveland when winters feel like they last forever.

So I'm linking up with Steph today for a little Weekly Gratitude.

I am so grateful for the beautiful weather we have been having. I never appreciate the lake enough- and it was great to spend some time by it last weekend! And of course that good looking guy on the left....I'm always grateful for him :)

Our community pool is only two blocks from our apartment. It has been awesome to come home this week/weekend and go over there after work for an hour or so to get a little more sun and cool down after these crazy hot days we've been having!

Speaking of these crazy hot days, I've never been more thankful than now to have central air in our apartment! We don't keep it icy- but coming home to a cool apartment is pure bliss in the sweltering heat.

And today, I am most grateful we still live in an apartment with full time maintenance staff. Because last night when I realized there was a bat in our apartment, I was able to call someone else to come deal with the damn thing. Ugh. Still feeling a little traumatized...but again, feeling grateful we didn't have to deal with it!! Plus...this was the funniest note I have ever seen.
