Grateful for Athens

This week is dragging. But the reason it's dragging is because I am so excited for this weekend. Why time has to slow down when I'm excited, I will never know. But come Friday evening, I will be at one of my favorite places in the world....

 Athens, Ohio!

Yes, I know. I talk about Athens and OU all the time. But it's hard to describe quite the feelings I have for this place. All I know is that I'm so incredibly grateful for the time I spent here, the people I met and the memories I now have. Enough sappiness- I'm so pumped for cheap drinks, walking the brick streets, and devouring all the chili cheese fries O'Bettys has to offer.

Speaking of grateful- there are a few other things this week that are just making me happy. 

My niece. Every time I see her, she just puts a smile on my face. Even though she is in the midst of her terrible twos, all her craziness is completely wiped away when she says "Hi Margy" and gives me a hug. Melts my damn heart. Plus, her hair is awesome.

Ridiculous cards at Target. I was trying to look for a good bachelorette party card (I didn't find one...they all suck) and came across the one. Which is blank on the inside, but I seriously laughed for like 5 minutes. 

Buffalo Chicken sandwiches and sweet potato tots. Can it really get any better? No, not it can not.

This girl. We met on our first day of college way back when, she stood by me on my wedding day, and now it's time to celebrate her! Can't wait to be back in Athens with her this weekend.
