What happens in Vegas...

Las Vegas is normally reserved for bachelor/bachelorette parties. But when we were looking for a place to go on a honeymoon, we realized neither of us had ever been there. And after a little more research, we found a great deal through Expedia on plane tickets and our hotel.

We flew out of Cleveland on the Monday following our wedding. I can't speak highly enough to taking a day in between the wedding and honeymoon. Sunday was a perfect relaxing day. We had breakfast at my parents, a morning campfire, opened our gifts, and headed back to Cleveland in the afternoon. After three shopping carts full of gifts, we settled in with a movie and Chipotle and spent our first night as a married couple in our apartment (I don't remember...but pretty sure I passed out by like 8:30).

Monday morning, we ran a bunch of errands- mainly meaning we added me to our bank account (which had been Doug's secondary account before we were married) and cashed a bunch of checks, as well as finished packing.

In Vegas we stayed at Mandalay Bay. As newbies to Vegas, we didn't really know much about location of things. Mandalay Bay is at the far end of the strip, and while it was definitely a hike to get places- it was also nice because it was quiet and far enough off the beaten path. And it had multiple gorgeous pools and a lazy river. Winning.

Anyway- enough talking. Photos!

Perfect pool view to start every day with
Fantastic fish tacs!

Fitting photos to describe what we did on our honeymoon. Drink.
Next Wedding Wednesday I'll go a little more in depth into the specifics of what we did, shows we saw, how to save money at restaurants...and something things we would do differently if we go back!
