I keep my heart and soul in the boondocks.

This weekend was awesome. We headed down to Holmes County to visit my parents for a much needed relaxing weekend in the country. To me, there is nothing better than sitting outside around a campfire enjoying a few beers and good conversation. I have no desire to ever live in Holmes County again, but I love the country and weekends like this make me realize I will always be a country girl!

On Friday, my parents weren't going to be home until late, so we decided to stop and see a movie. We saw This Is The End...and It. Was. HILARIOUS. Over the top, raunchy, ridiculous and so insanely funny. After the movie, we headed home, grilled a few burgers and sweet potatoes (yummm), and sat around the fire talking until midnight. 

Saturday was a lazy day of car washing, napping, sewing (finally have learned how to use my sewing machine that was a Christmas present from my mom...), golfing and more relaxing around a fire.

We left early on Sunday after church and a delicious breakfast, and decided to go to another movie. We saw Star Trek this time and it also, was awesome! I decided to go to my brothers for a while, but they weren't home, so I stopped at UDF for some ice cream and came out with this...

Yep. Two things of ice cream and Bomb Pops.

Ice cream for dinner, hiding from the heat and bed by 9:30? I'm OK with it. Now I just need to find a pool party to crash during this 90 degree week!
