Summer time

Memorial Day weekend is this weekend. What? Seriously? I can't even believe it's the end of May! But summer is right around the corner, and Cleveland weather is finally agreeing with that. Mind you, I hate hot, steamy weather almost as much as the snow...but summer cookouts, swimming, drinking beers outside, etc... That makes it all worth it. Erin's Summer Bucket List definitely inspired me to think of my own summer bucket list and things that I would love to do this summer.

1.  Meeting my new niece sometime in the next month!! My sister-in-law is due June 8, so we're expecting another little one any day now. My niece Caroline is seriously my favorite person in the world, and I'm so excited for niece #2!
Was she really this small once?
2.  More trips to the beach! While I wish I meant a beach in like Florida or North Carolina...I really just mean the beaches on Lake Erie. Which also, yes I know, gross. But I'm a firm believer of it being totally cool as long as I don't drink any lake water.

Spring Break in Florida
WISH we had plans to do this over the summer!
3.  Grilling out! We don't have a grill at our apartment, but my brother/sister-in-law and multiple friends have them. We're more than happy to provide the food as long as someone else provides the grill and lets us hang out for a while.

4. A long weekend trip with just the husband. We're thinking Northern Michigan right now...we've found a pretty cute little rental place close the the lake. I just want to relax and hang out with my love.

5. Pool time with my niece. Caroline is a water baby through and through. Her favorite thing in the world is the water park, she loves water slides and is pretty fearless when it comes to water.

6. A trip up to the Maumee river with my friend Megan and her family. They spend every weekend over the summer up there- boating, swimming, campfires, drinking, cornhole. Basically all my favorite things wrapped into one. This would fulfill my desire to go camping...and boating...and grilling out. Just have to work around all our crazy schedules.
Our last trip to the river...we got a little sun...

7. NOT STRESSING over work. This one could be hard...I have events every month between now and October, with two very big ones in there. Needless to say, I'm already freaking out about them. But I don't want to spend my whole summer stressed thinking about the big events (August and September).

8. More weddings! Of course. I actually think we're on a break until August or September...with 4 weddings in September- 2 of which I'm in; 1 with Doug. Two in Cleveland, 1 in Chicago and 1 in the HC. So it will definitely be a crazy month!
