Opening Day

Opening Day at Jacob's Progressive Field is a holiday. Seriously, ask any Clevelander and they will agree. It's a perfect day to take a day off from work, head downtown and enjoy seeing the streets of Cleveland come to life. Downtown Cleveland this way is one of the things that makes me happiest. Everyone out and about, enjoying the weather, drinking beers, and cheering for the Tribe- not much is better than that!

We were lucky enough to score tickets to opening day (thank you Progressive employee pre-sale!). Yes, they were literally the top row of the stadium, but we were there. And the energy and excitement made for an amazing day! The husband, myself and a friend headed downtown around 2:00 to partake in a few pre-game beverages at Panini's and the Thirsty Parrot. It was insanely busy and cell phones weren't working- but there were drink specials, everyone was decked out in Tribe gear (including some in full face paint and head dress), and the sun was kind of shining.

Needless to say, I'm beyond pumped it is baseball season. I have always been an Indian's fan...I really wish I had some of the old pictures of me as a little kid, in my Thome high socks, face paint and Indians shirt (my aunts normally sent me at least 1 new one each year). But I'll leave you with a few game pictures from the past few years....and know that there will be many more to come this summer!
