Happy 2nd Birthday :)

Yesterday was Caroline's 2nd birthday. And holy moly! I can't believe she is already 2. I know everyone says this, but it seems like she was just born yesterday and now she is this little toddler, running around with quite the attitude (though it the cutest, funniest way). I'm glad I'm not in charge of discipline, because when she does blatantly does something she knows she isn't supposed to do- I start giggling! Oops.

Anyway- it was a wonderful weekend full of family. My parents and Caroline came over for dinner on Friday night while Matt and Emily had a date night, then came over after for dessert.

Watching 'Choo choo!' (Thomas the Train) on my Kindle
"Little iPad. Big iPad at home"
On Saturday, we had a birthday party for her. Nothing huge- just family (though that still ended up being 20ish people). Two of my cousins have daughters, so we have 4 little girls running around (ok 3- the 4th is only 3 weeks old!) and with my future niece due in June, there is quite the crowd of girls!

Baby Juliet- SO adorable!!
She loved her cake, though wasn't sure about blowing out the candle. She really loved the birthday noise makers. And with a big change from Christmas (when she ignored all her presents), she loved opening her birthday gifts! And with each one, she yelled "OPEN!" and wouldn't move on until she played with whatever she had received.

Blowing out her candle with her Aunt Kathryn
Playing with her new tea set with Uncle Doug.
"More tea? HOT! Sugar?" She always made sure he blew on it to cool it down.
Sunday, I saw Les Miserables with some girlfriends. While I'm not quite the diehard fan that they are, it was a lot of fun to catch up with them and go out to eat afterwards. Our dinner at Hodge's was AMAZING. We split the crab cakes, goat cheese and leek tart, and gnocchi- all of which were to die for- though we did battle a little over the last bite of the tart.

Now time to battle the week...looking forward to the long weekend coming up!
