Weekend Recap!

This weekend was pretty fantastic. I know I keep saying that about every weekend- but I'm in such a slump at work that the instant Friday afternoon hits, very little can bring me down. Well except for Monday morning...but that's a different story.

Friday night was spent drinking margaritas and laughing with old friends. We spent the evening with my old roommate from college and best friend and my husbands two old roommates from moving to Cleveland (one of who is engaged to said best friend). The 5 of us have always been super close, and even though Matt now has a girlfriend- he was still riding 5th wheel Friday, but he's used to it by now...and hopefully we never make him feel uncomfortable! Plenty of beer, wine, laughter and games (Buzzword really can be hilarious).

Saturday, I was up bright and early to go wedding dress shopping with my best friend from home. I have known Karli since 2nd grade and we've been pretty much inseparable ever since. While we always did our own thing, and we can go weeks without talking, whenever we're together, it's as though nothing has ever changed. Good news- we found her dress- and it's GORGEOUS!!! After dress shopping, we headed to the Bridal Show at the IX Center...which was pretty much a waste of time but offered for some great people watching and was overall a great day with a fabulous group of women!

Ringing the bell at David's Bridal after saying Yes to the Dress!!
The whole group- bride, 4 bridesmaids, mother of the bride and mother of the groom!
Sunday was a lazy day- though I did workout (which may not be a huge surprise to some...but to those who know me- no the world is not ending). Watched plenty of Scandal (actually watched all of season 1 and caught up on season 2 in one weekend), visited with my brother and sister-in-law (niece was sleeping), went grocery shopping and made a delish dinner- steak, sweet potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts.

Thankfully there are plenty of fun evening activities this week to keep me going at work- attended a coworkers jewelry party launch event last night (seriously love Stella & Dot, though I could potentially spend way too much!), weekly friend dinner tonight, and baby gender reveal dinner tomorrow night for my future niece/nephew!!!
