Our first look

I was that girl that had only ever imagined seeing my future husband for the first time as I was walking down the aisle to meet him. And thinking of that moment always gave me butterflies of excitement. But then we started planning the wedding. We decided to get married in Holmes County- where there isn't exactly a ton to do. We decided to have a smaller ceremony than reception since my home church is so tiny. And we decided to have the reception start a mere hour after the ceremony start time. 

Talk about feeling rushed! But I knew it was the best choice for us. I didn't want our family and friends to have to occupy themselves in our tiny town and be bored out of their minds waiting for us to do pictures. So we decided to do a first look. And let's be honest- there are enough gorgeous, beautiful pictures of first looks out there, I wasn't too upset about it.

So after all the girls were ready- we headed over to a small local winery (where we actually had our rehearsal dinner). It's a gorgeous building and amazing setting so I knew it was the perfect place for photos.

A few couple shots after our first look

So while I still think that moment of seeing him for the first time walking down the aisle would have been awesome, that moment when I opened the door and saw him standing there...well that was one of the happiest feelings ever. And I think it shows...I'm obviously one to show excitement on my face.

*Yes we were running a tad behind. It took a little bit of time for us all to get dressed...plus some last minute bridesmaid dress alterations- my mom is amazing. There was another little mishap...but I'll save that for the next post!
