Football and halloween weekend

Sorry for the delay in posting. I've been kind of uninspired lately. Which is actually really lame since I have all my wedding photos and also just got the discs with them.

So instead of a wedding recap (which I promise I'll get to soon), here is a bit of a weekend update.

Last week was a little crazy with the hurricane- while we thankfully stayed safe and our home never lost power, my office was without power for two days. While there was plenty of working from home, I also was able to complete some crafting projects I have been working on for the last week or so. I also officially changed my last name- I'll discuss my thoughts on that at a later date.

My husband's birthday is Halloween, however, we didn't really get to celebrate it on the day of (car troubles/lots of rain=me not even cooking him dinner). But we really celebrated this weekend. I bought him tickets to an Ohio State football game...and as a huge Buckeye's fan- he was pretty excited about it. We headed down to Columbus on Friday to spend time some some of our college friends.

Saturday was game day- and though I had been hoping for warmer temps and sun- it was a tad on the chilly side. But the Buck's won...and we had pretty good seats!

Don't let this picture deceive you...it was really cloudy for 99% of the game
Sunday was a family day- and I spent most of the day at my brothers house. Trick or Treat had been rescheduled for Sunday, and they live in a neighborhood with lots of trick-or-treaters (about 185 last night according to his neighbor who had been passing out capri sun juice boxes). So a huge dinner, many bottles of wine, birthday celebration, campfire, and my niece as an adorable mermaid made for the perfect Sunday evening.
the cutest.
But I'm not going to lie- getting ready to come back to work Monday was not nice. After an unexpected 4 day weekend (plus only a 2 day work week last week- we were also closed Tuesday), it's pretty hard to stay motivated!
