This morning, I heard a song on the radio that brought back a flood of memories. What makes it even better is which song it was.
Yes. This song (which I seriously didn't know the name of until today...The Safety Dance by Men Without Hats for those of you who also don't know). And for any of you Bio Dome fans out there- you will recognize it.
My best friend- also my bridesmaid, Karli- and I have been friends since 2nd grade. And in those 18 some years of friendship, we watched Bio Dome close to 100 times (I wish I was exaggerating. I'm not). Hence why this song always brings back awesome memories!
When I texted her this morning to tell her that I heard this song and decided to add it to the wedding must play list, she responded with this:
"Also, watching the Olympics last night made me think of our ribbon dancing."
Yes. We once created our own ribbon wands and choreographed a full ribbon dancing routine. And we wore matching costumes.
But I think those pictures and the above video would be too much awesomeness for one day....so for now, those will stay off the interwebs.
They will make an appearance at the wedding though...whether or not I mean the photos or a ribbon dancing redo- you'll just have to wait and see!
Ps- Seriously watch this video. Considering within the first 5 seconds, they are frolicking through a field of grass, it's pretty much awesome.
