After a long day yesterday, and stressing over our damn invitations, I came home to the best surprise in our mailbox.
Yes, that is an RSVP postcard...that we actually received!! And no we haven't sent out our invites yet. But last week, I decided to test on of the postcards to make sure it actually did come back to us. And it never showed up.
Cue complete and total panic.
I sent another test one on Tuesday. And I had our designer make a new one with larger font and a little bit of a different design. Yesterday, I printed a test one of the new postcards and sent it to myself. And then I got home to that. The 2nd test postcard arrived!
Who would have thought I would be so excited about a little piece of mail that doesn't even have anything written on it! But it meant we didn't have to reprint and we could start putting our invites together.
And that is exactly what we did. Yes, we. My wonderful fiance sat with me last night, watching True Blood, stamping postcards and stuffing envelopes. We still have a few more today, and he is buying stamps today. But we'll be able to send them by Friday or Saturday- which is such a great feeling.
