Family Time and Wedding Things

This weekend was pretty awesome. Just one of those weekends where I was happy with life and enjoyed spending time with the ones I love.

Friday consisted of spending the evening with my parents, brother, sister-in-law, niece and fiance. Dinner, drinking, wedding talks, comedians, Bobcat basketball. It was all around pretty awesome. I love that my family gets along so well with my fiance...it just makes me feel all warm and happy inside :)

Saturday was a wedding related day- but not for me! One of my old coworkers is getting married in June and was back in Ohio for her bridal shower. Even though we talk almost every day on gchat about our wedding plans, I hadn't seen her in a LONG time, so it was pretty nice to catch up and hang out! Not to mention I am SO excited for my own bridal shower to get all the awesome kitchen stuff to see all my friends and family together!
Tea Party theme....fancy hats required.
After the bridal shower, we spent a little time at the bar- catching up over beers and wine. Once I made it home (holy crap long drive to the east side from Berea!), I spent the evening with the fiance. And watched Ohio U win the MAC Championship!!! woo woo! Loving my Bobcats!

Sunday was spent as many Sunday's are...with my brother, sis-in-law and niece. It's finally starting to feel like spring in Cleveland! Sunday was gorgeous- blue skies, sunshine, 65 degree. Amazing. And it was great to get my niece out of the house and walking around. Last spring/summer, she loved to be outside, but was really too little to enjoy it. Now she is running around, eating picking up rocks, going to the playground.
Playing in the driveway
Wasn't too into the playground...enjoyed stepping up and down the stairs a lot more than the swings or slide
A lovely meal on the grill and spending as much time as humanly possible outside made for a fabulous Sunday. I headed home after that to spend time with the fiance. And work on some more wedding related things....more specifically the Prepare and Enrich online compatibility test required by the Catholic church for our meetings with the priest. And holy cow, was it lonnnnggggg. I did about half of it last night, half tonight.

Yes, that is the test with the lovely bubble sheets....and a glass of sherry (tonight was a beer)
It was just kind of an amazing, long, relaxing weekend- even though it was full  and I stayed busy. This week is countdown to St. Patty's day...and spending a full day drinking in downtown Cle. Forecast is currently 58 degrees and sunny. Ah-maz-ing.
