This past weekend was a long one, and much needed. I took the day off Friday so my fiance and I could head down to Holmes County for a bit of wedding planning. On our way, we stopped in Canton for mom and I to try on wedding dresses and go to Jo Ann fabrics to figure out colors and patterns for my bridesmaid and flower girl dresses (yes my mom and aunt are making them- they are fabulous seamstresses). Also note that my dad and fiance had joined us for a lunch of wings and beer- and then promptly headed home to watch golf and drink more beer, while Mom and I shopped.
Saturday was a busy day of going to all the assorted locations in Holmes County where I wanted to have parts of our wedding- the church, winery for the rehearsal dinner, house that the boys will stay in the night before the wedding, church hall for the reception and hotel where we'll be booking rooms. And as a horrible blogger, I didn't take any pictures.
Thankfully, I recently found some amazing photos of another wedding that happened at my church. And seeing these pictures...I am SO so excited.

The church is 250 years old, in a tiny town called Glenmont (seriously- there are about 250 people...and 3 churches). Completely gorgeous! |
The inside was redone around 10 years ago- but the wooden pews have always been there. |
That stained glass window was preserved when the inside of the church was remodeled |
Saturday afternoon, we headed back to Cleveland so the fiance could wake up early on Sunday for work. While he was at work, I headed downtown on the rapid for the Browns game. While it was a miserable display of athleticism...it was enjoyable to be tailgating and spending time with friends and the fiance (who came down after he worked a half day).

Overall, a very enjoyable weekend (sorry for the wedding photo overload- but that church! I can't help it- I'm completely in love.) |
